About Matt Woods Band: The Matt Woods Band plays old school urban electric blues out of Des Moines, the kind of hard-hitting, guitar-driven sound that came straight out of the Chess Records catalog. Matt Woods handles guitar and vocals and puts up 100+ shows a year across the Midwest. Patrick Recob has spent three decades touring on bass, including runs with the Gary Primich Band and Lee McBee & The Confessors. Dwight Dario is an Iowa Blues Hall of Famer who toured Europe a dozen times with the Big George Jackson Blues Band. Put them in a room together and it turns into a blues party.
