Celebrating going back-to-school, the Department of Theatre & Dance Rally features important messages from KU Theatre & Dance administrative leaders and members of several performing student clubs for majors, minors, or any KU student interesting in auditioning for University Theatre or University Dance Company performances. Learn about student-group audition opportunities too. The Rally begins at 4pm Sunday, August 23, 2026 in the Crafton-Preyer Theatre at Murphy Hall. It is held in conjunction with Hawk Week. Light snack and beverages will be provided. Students of any ability level are invited to our Audition Workshop led by one of our theatre performance faculty members following the Rally at 5pm. Take part in tradition, meet new friends, and put a face with your professors' names before classes officially begin. Everyone will receive a round of applause as we kick off the new year!
